5 UHS Students in Central District Concert at Mechanics Hall in Worcester

Saturday, Janiuary 16th, 2016, saw 5 UHS students participate in the Central District Massachusetts Music Directors' Association Concert at Mechanics Hall. Chloe Gardner and Cassandra Lobe sang in the Chorus. Zachary Dumais played bass clarinet in the Concert Band. Vito Caccavelli on guitar and Robert Wondolowski on trombone played in the Jazz Band.

Participants have to audition for a role in the concert. They are judged according to various categories, such as tone, preciseness, etc. and their scores in each category are added up. Once they are chosen, they then participate in 2- 6 hour long rehearsals, plus a rehearsal on the day of the Concert. This year's concert lasted  2 1/4 hours. It is an honor for the students to be able to participate in the Concert and to perform in a venue like the packed Mechanics Hall. It is also an honor for those of us who love and support them. Good Work students! Congratulations! You make us proud.
